Gretta Carmichael, DVM

After working for Lutherville Animal Hospital as a relief veterinarian for over a year, Dr. Carmichael is now very happy to call her association with Lutherville Animal Hospital a full-time job.  

She is a Colorado native, but loves living in Maryland. After graduating from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997, she resided in Western Colorado working primarily with small animals.  In January of 2023, Dr. Carmichael and her husband moved to the Baltimore area where she worked as a relief veterinarian for almost 2 years. She loves spending time with family and friends, fly fishing in New Hampshire, and walking/hiking anywhere her feet will take her.  Her furry companions include two dogs and two cats.

Dr. Carmichael is steadfast in her belief that the bonds and relationships that are created through interactions with patients, clients and colleagues are the most important and rewarding aspects that come from working as a veterinarian.
